As a senior-level account director at Methodologie, Royal works closely with key clients and our internal teams to guide projects for Boeing, Qualcomm, Gap and Accenture, among others. He brings a high level of experience and strategic capability to his role. As our resident interactive lead, Royal is involved in thinking through information architecture and user experience with clients and our design teams, as well as consulting on all of our interactive projects to ensure that the right technologies are used at the right time. He is an expert at keeping large-scale, complex projects focused, on track and on budget.
Prior to coming to Methodologie, Royal specialized in annual report design at Leimer Cross Design, and before that he worked for Nike and The Bon Marché. These days he thrives on projects that allow him to flex his UX muscles, and he works closely with the design team and the client to make sure everyone’s needs are met. Royal holds a BFA in visual communications from the University of Oklahoma, has been through the GRI Certification Program and is currently enrolled in a UX certificate program at the University of Washington.
Along with being a proud papa and a diehard baseball fan, Royal is a music aficionado and former DJ, even creating his own music blog he calls The Bacon Review. Each year he heads up the Movember program at Methodologie to raise awareness and funds to support cancer research.
